AI Math Tutor

A tutor that works through the problem with you.

Built into every lesson and practice problem — ask a question and get guided, step-by-step help, not just a final answer.

How it works

Context-aware, not a generic chatbot

Open the tutor from any lesson or active practice problem and it already knows what you're looking at — the lesson's topic, your current unit, and (if you're mid-problem) the specific question you're stuck on. You don't have to re-explain your context every time.

Instead of outputting a final answer, it asks guiding questions and breaks the problem into steps — closer to how a real tutor sitting next to you would help, rather than a search engine for answers.

Questions

What to know before you start

Does the AI tutor just give me the answer?
No — it's built to guide, asking questions and working through the reasoning with you rather than handing over a final answer to copy. The point is understanding the steps, not finishing faster.
What math topics does it cover?
Whatever you're currently working on. It sees the lesson or practice problem you have open — from elementary arithmetic through AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics — and tailors its explanation to that context.
Do I need an account?
Yes. The tutor is a site-wide panel available to signed-in students from any lesson or practice problem — create a free account to use it.
Is it always correct?
It's an AI system, not an infallible oracle — like any AI tutor, it can make mistakes. Treat its explanations as a guide to work through alongside the lesson, not a final authority.
